WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG!

We are busy porting to our new blog interface, so bear with us as we fill it with some of our favorite blog entries.  Unfortunately our old blog didn't support mobile browsers, so we moved to this format to make it easier for our clients to view their blog entries on their smartphones.  And our main site isn't smartphone friendly, either, so we will be doing something about that soon, too.   And really, it just drives me crazy that I can't see our sites on my Droid X.

LAUREN ANTOINE & DREW BATTLE

Lauren and Drew said their vows on a blustery December day surrounded by their warm, loving friends and family. It's always great to be around two people who so obviously love one another and God was good to us weather-wise because, although it was windy, the predicted rain held off exactly long enough for us to get some fun shots of them and the bridal party before the wedding.

The wedding day ended with an energetic party to the sounds of the Second Coming band at the Roundhouse, presided over by an amazing 5' X 6' chandelier, which  Lauren's mom, Carolyn, told us that Andy the lighting designer has named the Antoinette chandelier in honor of Lauren.  Mark's flower arrangements were stunning as usual.  As Carolyn said, it was a magical day and we are grateful to have had the honor of documenting it.

Taylor & Ben

TAYLOR DAVIS & BEN CONWAY

At some point in the busy wedding season, feeding the blog falls to the bottom of the priority list, but now it's time for Bill and I to wake up the hungry monster.

As an appetizer, here are a few of our favorites from Taylor & Ben's amazing, love-filled wedding fall weekend at Gorham's Bluff...they are in no particular order and, as usual, equal parts Bill's work and mine. Although Bill and I both can easily tell our styles apart, I often wonder if our clients can tell who shot what and it would be interesting to hear what you think.

Taylor and Ben...ah what an honor to shoot their wedding.  Ben and his brother have served multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Like many soldiers, Benjamin is very modest about his service and probably wouldn't want me to call too much attention to him, but we have to say that it's always a deep honor to be around someone of such high caliber. When we met his parents, it was very easy to see where the brothers' sense of honor and duty was cultivated.

Taylor, who shines with love from inside and out, is the niece of Gorham's Bluff's owner, Dawn McGriff, and it was was such a special treat to spend the weekend with their entire family in a place that means so much to all of them.

Thank you so much, Taylor and Ben (and mom Sandy!), for trusting the story of your wedding to us.
